Pastor Aaron

Born on February 1st, 1982 in McCook Nebraska; Aaron grew up in a loving Christian home and gave his life to Jesus at the age of 4. Shortly thereafter he and his family moved to Las Vegas Nevada where they lived for seven years before returning to their home state in January of 1994. Aaron was filled with the Holy Spirit at age 16 while attending Grace Fellowship church in Kearny Nebraska, after high school Aaron attended McCook Community College from 2000-2002, during which time his parents moved to the Columbus area. Following graduation Aaron moved to the Columbus area as well where he met Pastors Doug and Liana and began attending Discover Hope in the Fall of 2002. During this time Aaron was tasked with developing and leading the churches Youth Ministry. Five years later, in October of 2006 Aaron married his wife Sarah and they continued leading the churches youth ministry for several more years before transitioning into their current roles as Assistant Pastors. During this time Aaron and Sarah earned their Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Leadership from Life Pacific College.

Currently Aaron performs a wide range of ministry roles within the church, assisting the Senior Pastors as well as filling in other roles as needed. If asked Aaron would say that one of the things he enjoys most about Discover Hope is the family atmosphere, it is a place where people truly care for one another and where you can feel free to be yourself. While always eager to serve in whatever capacity is needed, Aaron especially enjoys ministering with his wife and personally ministering to the people in the church whether thru personal prayer, delivering a sermon or simply making people laugh at one of his corny jokes or crazy antics.

Outside of the church Aaron works at Becton Dickinson’s West Plant here in Columbus where he serves as a Manufacturing Engineer. When not serving at the Church or working at BDs Aaron enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and four little Vikings. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family, cheering for the Huskers, playing board games, listening to music and spending time on various creative pursuits. Aaron would like to welcome you to the Discover Hope family and he looks forward to getting to know you better.
